We’ve been promised a lot of amazing film titles this year and we’re hoping we won’t be let down by some of these promising movies. Below is a tiny snippet of movies that are worth a watch and are due to be released in the early months of 2017.
xXx 3: The Return of Xander Cage.

It’s been awhile since we last heard about the xXx franchise and most of us have probably forgotten about it. This new movie sees Vin Diesel reclaim the iconic role of Xander Cage (an extreme athlete who starts working for the government). The plot of this new movie includes a deadly weapon as well as a brand new team of badasses. It’s safe to say that it ticks all of the boxes of a standard action-type film. The cast, however, will undoubtedly have an influence on whether you want to watch this movie or not. Some of the major names include: Vin Diesel, Samuel L. Jackson, Tony Jaa, Jet Li, and Nina Dobrev (who you’ll remember from ‘The vampire Diaries’ series).
‘Founder’ is the story of one of the world’s largest fast food franchises. It’s based on a true story and is about how a salesman from Illinois (played by Michael Keaton) found and turned a fast food restaurant into one of the biggest businesses the world has seen. This is the origin story of McDonald’s and deserves a watch because it’s the story of how this glorious franchise came to be.
‘Rings’ is the third instalment in the American version of the ‘Ring’ franchise. The film is set to be released early in February. The story of ‘Rings’ takes place 13 years after the first two films in the franchise. The plot follows Holt’s (Rex Roe) obsession with an urban legend that tells the tale of a video that is said to kill the person who watches it after seven days. This may sound fairly similar to the previous two films, however, there is a twist. Julia (played by Matilda Lutz) discovers that there is movie within a movie that no one has ever seen. This film has potential to delight horror fans everywhere.
Kong: Skull Island
King Kong is not a newcomer to the big screen as this colossal monster ape first appeared on the big screen in 1933 and has been making an appearance ever since. ‘Kong: Skull Island is set to be released in the States early this March.
