South by South West (also known as SXSW) is a festival that takes place in Austin, Texas in March every year. It first began in 1987 and has been growing ever since its inception. The festival lasts for 10 days and has three major forums that include music, film and an interactive element (largely focused on new technology). We’ll take a look at some of the most noteworthy things that SXSW had to offer visitors this year.
Game of Thrones creators, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss were
Google and Levi’s teamed up to create a smart wearable denim jacket. The jacket utilizes Google ATAP’s ‘project jacquard’ technology which uses conductive threads. The technology comes in the form of the well-known Levi’s cycling jacket. The smart jacket will allow wearers to take calls, navigate their surroundings and listen to music through a simple gesture. This jacket is priced at an estimated $350 and will be available later this year.
