ABC Renewed TV Series

ABC has given early renewals to 15 of its most popular TV show. This official announcement was released on Thursday March 4th, 2016 by the network. Fans can expect to see their favourite series, including the entire “TGIT” line up for 2016 and 2017.

There were however, some shows left hanging with no guarantee of a renewal just yet. These include Castle, Nashville, Dr Ken, The Muppets, Agent Carter, and Last Man Standing.

The early renewal of the shows has come shortly after the network decided to make a few changes among the executives. Channing Dungey is the new president of entertainment, following the departure of Paul Lee. With these changes, Dungey has decided to offer early renewals to certain shows, unlike previously where Lee would wait until the end of May before making an official renewal. The renewal announcement has been Dungey’s biggest task so far at the network. The renewal will see the return of many fan-favourites.

  • Quantico will return for its second season.
  • Marvel’s Agents of Shield has been renewed for its fourth season.
  • Grey’s Anatomy will return for its 13th season.
  • Scandal will be back for its sixth season.
  • How to get away with Murder will be back for its third season.
  • The Goldbergs will return for its fourth season.
  • Black-ish has been renewed for its third season.
  • Fresh off the Boat will be back for its eighth season.
  • The Middle will return for its eighth season.
  • America’s Funny Home Videos will return for its incredible 27th season.
  • The Bachelor will be back for its implausible 21st season.
  • Dancing with the Stars will return for its epic 23rd season.
  • Shark Tank will be back with its eighth season.
  • Modern Family will return for its eighth season.
  • Once upon a Time will be back for season six.

There will be lots to look forward to for all TV-fanatics for the remainder of 2016 and throughout 2017. We can only hope the ABC network will announce more renewals over the next coming weeks.
